Messe Frankfurt organisers of Texprocess said, with still four months to go before Texprocess opens its doors, 95 per cent of the exhibition space occupied by the previous fair has already been sold.

According to the organiser, it is looking forward to a very well booked third edition of the trade fair for processing textile and flexible materials which runs from May 4-7, 2015.

As in previous years, Texprocess will be held concurrently with Techtextil, International Trade Fair for Technical Textiles and Nonwovens.

“At this point in time two years ago, we had only sold 70 per cent of the space taken by its previous event”, said Olaf Schmidt, vice president - Textiles & Textile Technologies.

He added, “Moreover, new exhibitors from all parts of the textile value chain have announced their intention to take part.

More exhibitors are expected in the textile machinery, stitching, joining and fastening technology, automation technology and textile finishing segments.

“While, there have also been positive developments in the fields of ‘cutting room and automation technology’ and ‘product processing and finishing,” Messe Frankfurt reported.

Products displayed at Texprocess are expected cover all stages of the textile value chain, i.e., from design, IT and cutting, via sewing, joining, embroidery and knitting, to finishing, textile printing and logistics.

In Hall 4.0, trade visitors will find numerous new products in the design, IT, CAD/CAM and cutting segments and at the IT@Texprocess special area.

In Hall 5, exhibitors will present innovative machines and accessories for sewing, embroidering and joining.

Rounding off the spectrum at Texprocess are embroidery technology, finishing and textile logistics in Hall 6.0.

An extensive complementary programme of events and numerous special shows will be held within the framework of Texprocess 2015 and ‘Innovative Apparel Show’ among them will take centre stage.

Four universities and fashion schools will present their innovative designs on all four days of the fair. After a stage presentation, they will explain the processes and materials used.

On all four days of the fair, the Texprocess Forum will spotlight subjects of topical interest to the sector, e.g., sourcing, sustainability, new technologies, quality management, logistics and standards, in Hall 5.

For the third time running, Messe Frankfurt will give the Texprocess Innovation Award for the best new developments at the fair.

Entries are invited from all exhibitors of Texprocess 2015, as well all other companies, institutes, universities and individuals.

The awards in the various categories will be presented during the joint opening ceremony of Texprocess and Techtextil in Room Dimension (Hall 4.2) on 4 May 2015.
