Nexcelle is focusing on providing world-class support to its customers, even before the upcoming initial hardware deliveries and subsequent manufacturing ramp-ups for the company’s next-generation integrated propulsion systems.

The Nexcelle 50/50 joint venture serves as a clear, responsive point-of-contact for customers, while drawing on the resources and expertise of its two parent companies: GE Aviation and Aircelle (Safran), according to Eliza Southard, Nexcelle’s Product Support Director.

“It is important for us to establish a reputation as a company that stands by our products in the field,” Southard said. “We are setting up the processes and procedures to ensure our two parent companies’ resources are brought together in serving our customers.”

Nexcelle has been selected for two major engine programs to date: the nacelle systems for the CFM International LEAP-1C integrated propulsion system on COMAC’s C919 airliner and the GE Passport engine for Bombardier’s Global 7000 and Global 8000 business aircraft.

To support these programs, Nexcelle will be the focal point for customers and operators on behalf of GE Aviation and Aircelle.  Southard explained that the on-line product support will be a key part of meeting customers’ requirements – allowing to channel Aircelle and GE Aviation’s combined capabilities to efficiently meet the request.

“Behind a single interface, both parent companies will utilize their resources and processes to fulfill those orders and inquiries to meet the customers’ needs,” Southard concluded. “From Nexcelle’s point of view, it is important that we create our identity as a company with a strong structure to support our customer.”
