Technology Licentiate Nina Kopola, 51, has been named President and CEO of Suominen Corporation and Suominen Group as of 1 December 2011. Ms Kopola has today begun to familiarise herself with the company's operations together with current President and CEO Petri Rolig. As of December, Mr Rolig will transfer to the post of Deputy CEO, with primary responsibility for developing the Flexibles and Codi Wipes businesses.

“As a result of the recently completed business acquisition, Suominen has attained the status of market leader, and it will be an inspiring challenge to strengthen and develop that position,” says Ms Kopola. “In order to succeed in that respect, I believe bringing the integration to completion and creating a new corporate culture will be the most important tasks in the initial stage.”
Nina Kopola holds a Technology Licentiate degree from Åbo Akademi in Turku, Finland. She has worked at Neste Chemicals as a research engineer, from where she transferred to Dynea after Neste Chemicals was bought by IK Invest. During her ten years at Dynea, Ms Kopola has gained extensive experience in various functions such as controlling, business analysis and marketing. She has been a member of Dynea Group management since 2006, first as Executive Vice President, Market Applications, and since 2008 as President, Dynea Europe. Dynea manufactures adhesive resins for various industrial applications. Dynea Europe's net sales last year totaled EUR 489 million. The figure includes 19 production plants in 13 European countries. Ms Kopola has also been responsible for Dynea's South American operations and she has chaired Dynea's joint venture in Russia.
