“The conference offers delegates networking opportunities with participants from across the global personal care products supply chain, business meetings and top level speakers,” the press release said.
The conference will be launched with a keynote presentation from Manu Bhaskaran, director of the Centennial Group who will present 'Southeast Asia in 2016: Looking Up Again'.
The second day's keynote will be from Cecilia Edebo, vice president of consumer goods for the Middle East, India and Asia for SCA on 'The challenges and learning from a global leader's expansion projects in Asia'.
Additional presentations include; 'A view from India on hygiene and personal care products markets' and 'Emerging trends in absorbent hygiene products in China'.
Other topics like 'Retail disposable hygiene products in the developing markets of Asia Pacific: opportunities and challenges in 2016' and 'Post-consumer AHP waste management - A case study for emerging markets' will be addressed.
'Superabsorbent polymers: Smart SAPs for the development of modern hygiene products' and 'Requirements of Chinese market for absorbent hygiene products and their impact on spunbond nonwovens' will also be presented.
More topics include; 'Managing waste from absorbent hygiene products: the waste pickers' perspective' and 'Ultrathin underwear-like, body conforming hygiene products with ultrasonically bonded absorbent cores'.
Other topics, '1950-2050: Converting technology in the hygiene industry - The past, the present and the future' and 'Comfort, fit and next value for future innovation' too will be addressed.
Topics like 'Innovative and sustainable sap solution for the next generation diapers' and 'Wet wipes: an update on flushability activities around the globe' are also on the agenda.
According to EDANA, the conference also provides a forum for companies to showcase their innovative products, developed by or for the Asia Pacific markets, while the Outlook Asia Award honours innovative products and services.
