With the 8317 machine, the PFAFF INDUSTERIAL company has realized a single-head ultrasonic unit featuring a synchronous slide to process pleated filters (length of the moving distance based on the customer‘s request).

The unit processes pleated filters with a pleat height of 8 to 50 mm. It is based on the Cut & Seal method with a cutting wheel or direct welding featuring a seam width of up to 10 mm.

The customer may use a titanium sonotrode as well as a no-wear steel sonotrode. The control of the welding power is proportional to the welding speed. 50 programmable recipes may be selected (speed-pressure-energy) via the touch-control-panel.

This PFAFF 8317 pleated filter compliments the PFAFF 8316 which uses a suspended feed. The machine was shown the first time on FILTECH fair 2013 in Wiesbaden Germany.
