Pfaff offers innovative stitching & welding solutions at Techtextil

What do pond covers, landfill tarpaulins, geotextiles, filter materials, automobile interiors, surgery clothing, outdoor jackets, functional underwear and bras have in common? They are sewn or welded by using modern industrial machinery.

At the Techtextil (19. - 21 March 2013) PFAFF INDUSTRIAL presents the following solutions for the joining of technical textiles:

PFAFF 8312 CS
Ultrasonic sealing machine with a single-wheel-solution. The machine realizes two manufacturing processes in one step (Cut & Seal). Despite a minimum seam width (micro seam) sturdy seams are guaranteed. The 8312 CS was optimized by using a of steel-sonotrode (up to 10 mm width), which greatly reduces wear and associated costs.

PFAFF 8303
Hot-air sealing machine for continuous seam sealing. The machine ensures the highest seam quality with the patented double-chamber nozzle. It can be used for cross-seams with 3 material plies. The 8303 features an adjustable tape cutter for exact tape cutting and non-distorted tape feed, automatic tape threading.

Three different posts are available: garments, shoes and a version for extra wide tapes. In addition, a programmable taping machine (PFAFF 8330) will be shown in Anaheim. Individual segments and complete sequences are programmable with the PFAFF 8330. The machine realizes a high level of process reliability and a reproducible quality.

PFAFF 8320
Hot-air or hot-wedge sealing equipment for programmed sealing. All parameters of the machine are electronically controlled: An integrated control board monitors the heat-sealing temperature, air flow, roller pressure and the two motors for the top and bottom roller. Two precision-controlled motors ensure an extremely accurate differential transport.

PFAFF 2545
Triple-feed special high-speed sewing machines with vertical hook. The machine achieves a very high stitch quality both for top-stitching work in the visible areas and for securing and assembly seams. Main areas of application of the machine are the automotive and home upholstery section as well as all types of technical textiles. The machine is also available as a double-needle machine (PFAFF 2546). Upon request, an arm-clearance of 700 mm is available.
