Secant to show medical textiles at MEDICA/Compamed

To address the need for implantable devices that factor in the body’s natural healing process, Secant Medical will be exhibiting its biomaterial technology and medical textile engineering capabilities at the MEDICA/Compamed International Trade Fair from November 20th-22nd in Düsseldorf, Germany.

The Secant Medical team will be available in hall 8b booth G20-2 (U.S. Pavilion) to discuss how potential device designs may benefit from advanced biomaterials matched with high-performance biomedical textile structures.

“As the world’s largest trade fair for medical engineering, Compamed is a critical event to showcase our long-standing and new technology platforms that benefit device design for in vivo applications,” said Josh Simon, Ph. D., business development manager at Secant Medical. “We look forward to engaging with the audience regarding the industry need for unique resorbable and elastomer raw material platforms to support product development efforts.”

Simon will present at the Compamed Suppliers Forum on November 20th from 1:30-2:00. He will discuss the evolution of textiles and how the next generation of biomaterials can facilitate the repair, recovery and regeneration of the body during his presentation, “Enabling Existing Technologies via Material Innovation”.
