The first day of the symposium is dedicated to intelligent textiles, while the second day will focus on fibre composites and textile lightweight construction in the architecture, automobile and medicine sectors.
The Smart Textiles Symposium of the Smart Textiles Plattform Austria, which is being hosted successfully in Vorarlberg for the fifth time, is also taking place with Saltex along with a list of varied supporting programmes to facilitate active networking.
Wirtschafts-Standort Vorarlberg GmbH (WISTO) with support by Smart Textiles Plattform Austria and Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) and numerous cooperation partners will host cooperation exchange. The National Cluster Platform will provide information on 'Global Megatrends and the Role of Clusters' and the nanoNet Austrian association will organise a nanotechnology workshop. The latest research results as well as prototypes and product ideas revolving around smart textiles and fibre composites will be presented by five research institutes at the event.
Saltex is being organised with a view to initiate new cooperation and business transactions with complementing partners in the Vorarlberg economic region. Various companies, research institutes, trade associations and service providers from the textile sector have registered for the event to share their views and insights regarding the various innovations in the industry.
