In addition, Spooner will supply a regenerative thermal oxidiser (RTO) to treat process exhaust from the drying/curing system prior to its safe release to the atmosphere. The RTO will provide very high VOC destruction efficiency, exceeding local emissions standards, as well as returning energy to the process for maximum thermal efficiency.
Both the TAD and RTO will be designed and manufactured in-house at Spooner’s Ilkley HQ in the UK. Spooner’s experience and expertise in both technologies, allowing it to supply the full ‘thermal package’ was a key factor in Saint Gobain’s decision to choose Spooner for this project.
The new production line will complement Saint Gobain’s existing line at the Litomyšl plant and will facilitate organic growth as well as expansion into new markets.
Saint-Gobain Adfors is a global leader in the manufacture of a range of technical textiles providing solutions for both construction and industrial applications.
