German producer of membranes, laminates and functional textiles, Sympatex is among the winners of the first Ecosport Award and has received the award in the category 'Eco Design Textiles and Footwear'.

“The best initiatives and products by companies from the sports industry were awarded in order to support environmental protection and sustainability,” the company said in the press release.
Almost 200 renowned companies in the fields of sports and sports textiles took part in the festive event at the National Institute of Sport and Physical Education in Paris on January 20, 2016.
Sympatex was able to bag the award from a jury which included industry experts, specialised journalists and representatives of sustainability associations with its 100 per cent recycled and recyclable functional laminates.
Hervé Clerbout and Sylvie Mangin from Sympatex Technologies France SAS accepted the award from Thierry Braillard, the French secretary of state for sports and Denis Brogniart, a sports journalist and TV presenter.
All in all, 34 companies had applied in seven different categories. Among the other prize winners was also Sympatex partner Vaude, who won the award for best sustainability management.
Sympatex Technologies develops, produces and distributes membranes, laminates and functional textiles as well as finished products worldwide.
