Between November 19 and 20, 2014, Technical Absorbents Ltd (TAL) will show its Super Absorbent Fibre (SAFTM) technology at the INDA-organised Filtration International Conference & Exposition.
TAL joins over 150 exhibitors to demonstrate how its Filtratas product range can be used to effectively remove water from aviation fuel, automotive fuel and hydraulic oil.Between November 19 and 20, 2014, Technical Absorbents Ltd (TAL) will show its Super Absorbent Fibre (SAFTM) technology at the INDA-organised #
TAL will exhibit at booth 615 and will be displaying both its fibre and fabric technologies, while also having its development specialist’s on-hand to provide expertise and advice if required.
“A significant reason for the majority of oil and fuel system failures is the presence of high water levels in dissolved, dispersed and free water,” TAL says.
“SAFTM based filter media fabrics can remove both dispersed and free water to very low ppm levels at industry leading rates, which results in reduced fuel and oil degradation, and provides the required filter quality for efficient machine operation,” it explains.
“SAFTM is a key component for a wide range of enhanced nonwoven filter media fabrics that are designed for the removal of water and particulates from aviation fuel, automotive diesel and a wide range of oils,” TAL Technical Sales Manager Dave Hill informs.
He adds, “Such fabrics help reduce problems associated with water contamination in such situations. Its versatility gives rise to cost savings over traditional cellulosic-based absorption media, while offering full compliance potential to stringent international filtration standards.”
The core business of TAL is the manufacture of SAF at its UK production site and is a subsidiary of China National BlueStar (Group) Company Limited, which in turn is wholly-owned by ChemChina.
SAF is manufactured using the latest state-of-the-art production methods and control protocols and its products are suitable for a variety of applications in a number of new and established markets.
TAL also toll manufactures and sells nonwovens like needlefelts, airlaid, carded, yarns, woven fabrics and finished consumer goods – all containing SAF. (AR)
