Technotex 2017 conference aims to help the government and industry to take adequate measures to achieve this goal and attract international and domestic investments in this sector. It will also focus on helping to increase the consumption and production of technical textiles.
The exhibition will create a platform for interacting and strengthening association of private sector with institutional buyers such as Central Industrial Security Force, railways, army, NHAI, navy etc and help them understand institution's requirements and standards. It will also provide an opportunity to the Indian technical textile industry to network and interact with stakeholders on several technical and policy issues.
The trade event is being organised by the Indian ministry of textiles in association with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI).
FICCI will also organise B2B meetings of institutional buyers with the private industry players during the conference.
Union textiles minister Smriti Irani is likely to inaugurate the conference along with senior officials from textile ministry and some of the participating states. (KD)
