Techtextil India 2013 50% bigger than previous edition

Along with the increase in floor space, international participation in the 2013 exhibition is also up by more than 20 per cent from 2011, demonstrating the show’s continued business success.

At Techtextil India 2013, over 130 exhibitors from India, Italy, Japan, Sweden, the UK and the US, in addition to national pavilions from Belgium, China, France and Germany will present the newest products, services and technologies in technical textiles and nonwovens.

From 3 – 5 October 2013, Hall 6 of the BEC in Mumbai, the venue for Techtextil India, will welcome more than 4,000 professionals from around the world, including members of government bodies, company chairmen, owners, CEOs and general managers to experience the industry’s most cutting-edge offerings.

Not only has India’s technical textile sector grown at a CAGR of 11 percent between 2006 and 2011, but it is also estimated to further rise at a CAGR of 20 per cent between 2012 and 2017, making it a very promising sector for investment. Rising income levels, modernisation and urbanisation combined with reduced labour availability in sectors like agriculture and construction have heightened the demand and use of technical textiles and nonwovens across several verticals.

Projected to be a world leader in the production and end-use consumption of technical textiles, the market in India demonstrates one of the fastest growth prospects in the world. Techtextil India, a seminal business platform from Messe Frankfurt, highlights the best and brightest that the industry has to offer, as well as providing a professional platform to access the tremendous potential that the Indian technical textile and nonwovens market has to offer.

In addition to officially supporting the exhibition, the National Jute Board (NJB), Indian Technical Textiles Association (ITTA) and Texprocil will have their own pavilions at Techtextil India 2013, hinting towards the promising nature of the market situation in India.
