The Teijin booth (stand: H-7) will feature high-performance protective apparel solutions incorporating the group’s proprietary aramid fibers, including:
Firefighter suit and flame-retardant uniform
Teijin will showcase a firefighter suit and a flame-retardant work uniform made with Teijinconex, a heat-resistant, flame-retardant meta-aramid fiber, and Technora, a high-strength para-aramid fiber.
Protective gloves
Teijin will exhibit protective gloves made with Twaron, an advanced para-aramid fiber offering high resistance to heat and cutting.
Also to be presented is a newly developed meta-aramid fiber that combines world-leading heat resistance with excellent dyeability. The Teijin Group will produce this promising new meta-aramid fiber beginning in July 2015 at a facility to be built in Thailand.
Fabrics made with Teijin’s advanced aramid fibers, in addition to assuring top-level protection, also feature the characteristics typical of high-quality garments, such as excellent comfort, appearance, durability and easy washing and maintenance.
India’s growing market for fire-prevention materials reflects the country’s booming housing, real estate and infrastructure sectors. In addition, increasingly strict standards for flame-retardant products and heightening awareness of safety needs in the private sector are further stimulating demand for high-performance heat- and flame-retardant protective apparel.
Through its exhibition at Fire India, the Teijin Group expects to demonstrate to partners and customers its extensive knowledge and expertise in protective apparel applications, as well as its increasing presence in and commitment to the Indian market.
