Trade fair for the technical textiles and nonwovens industry, Techtextil India closed its doors last month with 5,050 visitors from 31 countries visiting the show and which saw 158 exhibitors displaying their products.

“These forefront innovative concepts can help the Indian technical textile industry better employ technology and resources to meet market demand,” the organiser added.
Continuing the ethos of promoting the development of the technical textiles sector, the Techtextil India Symposium too brought together an eminent gathering of professionals.
According to a press release from Messe Frankfurt, the organisers of the show, 30 per cent of participating exhibitors re-booked themselves for the 2017 edition of Techtextil India.
Vikas Sharan, vice president, textile engineering at A.T.E. Enterprises said, “It gives me great pleasure to see the exhibition expanding and adding new Indian and international participants to its fold.
“We have met industry decision-makers and had good interactions with those visiting our booth and the exhibition is not only holding ground but also showing positive signs of expansion,” Sharan added.
German exhibitor Lindauer Dornier GmbH strongly believes that the Indian market is advancing and demonstrates good potential for textile and technology players.
Alois Felder, head of product management said, “Techtextil India enables us to understand the Indian market scenario and currently, filtration is a big subject and we have come across focused visitors in that segment.”
First-time participant from China, Zhentai’s manager Cherry Zheng said, “We met many useful contacts at the show, who showed strong interest in our machinery and we look forward to coming again for the next edition.”
“A lot of new products caught our interest. Dornier, for example, showed how weaving can be implemented for different applications, replacing conventional legacy of fabrics,” BB Sharma, CEO (Textile Projects) at Sintex said.
Techtextil India is part of the ‘Technical Textiles’ brand with six shows worldwide within Messe Frankfurt’s Texpertise Network comprising 47 fairs.
