US’ Hexion, Rassini work on composite leaf spring in Ford’s new model

Hexion has worked with Rassini for composite leaf spring application in Ford’s new model of the F-150 pickup truck. Rassini has developed the hybrid rear suspension, which comprises a parabolic main steel leaf supported by a composite helper. It has used Hexion’s Epikote epoxy resin system since it enables mass production of the composite helper spring.

France’s ArianeGroup & ESA to make lightweight composites in rockets

ArianeGroup has joined hands with the European Space Agency (ESA) as the lead contractor for the PHOEBUS (Prototype of a Highly OptimizEd Black UpperStage) project.
