Canada's Loop Energy to fuel M&I's lightweight zero-emission bus

Loop Energy, a developer and manufacturer of hydrogen fuel cell-based solutions, is to provide its proprietary fuel cell modules to Slovakia-based Mobility & Innovation (M&I) for its lightweight and zero-emission city bus platform. Loop can deliver power and enable a smaller fuel storage system without compromising the weight or range of the bus.

The initiative utilises 100 per cent natural materials, and indicates that greener materials can be reliable on an engineering level. Carbios, a company pioneering new bio-industrial solutions to reinvent the lifecycle of plastic and textile polymers, and Michelin, a leader in sustainable mobility, have moved closer to developing 100 per cent sustainable tyres. Michelin has validated Carbios’ enzymatic recycling process for PET plastic waste, to create a high tenacity tyre fibre.
