Some combinations of three anti-microbial agents used in textile units—iodopropyl butylamine, zinc pyridyl sulfide and octyl isothiazolinone—elicit additive effects on both Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli, Chinese researchers say. They integrated a specific combination of these agents into nylon without reducing its whiteness or durability.
