The EurAsian Geotextiles Symposium is designed to cover both nonwoven and woven geotextiles and to encompass the entire value chain, from raw materials to buyers and users of geotextiles, in Greater Europe and Asia.
The Symposium will cover themes like; Best practice in specifications of geotextiles and case studies; Improved understanding of the market for geotextiles and Identification of new opportunities for growth.
Pierre Wiertz, general manager of EDANA, said, “We are proud to join forces with CNITA to create a unique new event and together, we will gather all key players in the field of Geotextiles,”
“It is natural that this Symposium, the first of its kind, will be held in China, one of the most dynamic markets for geotextiles and our objective is to support the growth of production and deliveries in Eurasia,” he added.
Li Lingshen, president of CNITA too said, “At CNITA, we see this cooperation with EDANA as synergistic and beneficial for the entire industry,”
“We look forward to working together to make the EAGS a success and it will be a pleasure to host this event and connect producers of geotextiles with new customers and suppliers,” Lingshen observed.
According to EDANA, the Asian geotextile market is expected to have the largest demand for geotextiles in the coming few years with China leading the regional claim.
Asia Pacific was the largest regional market for geotextiles, accounting for over 43 per cent of global geotextiles consumption in 2013.
“There is a growing demand for geotextile fabrics in the Asia Pacific region due to large infrastructural projects, while China and India have highlighted geotextiles in their economic plans,” EDANA also added. (AR)
