Drylock Technologies, is planning to expand its operations and its product portfolio, and start up its third plant before the end of this year at Kazan, Tatarstan in Russia.

The goal of the company is to offer all sizes of baby diapers and adult incontinence products from its Czech plant, including traditional fluff-containing products, lowfluff version and the fluffless version, while the new Kazan plant will make the traditional fluff and the low-fluff products soon after starting up. Meanwhile, its Nizhny facility in Russia will produce a range of feminine hygiene products.

Some of the lines at Kazan will be new while others are being moved from Nizhny, which will continue to make some diapers until Kazan starts up. Drylock is now beginning the roll-out of fluffless adult incontinence products to the Western European market, selling its product through its first big customer. Kazan will make traditional fluff and low fluff products for both markets. Drylock said in a press release.

While extending its product capabilities and giving each plant its own product portfolio, the company continues to research ways of enhancing the performance of its fluffless products.

The company has extended the geographic reach of its sales efforts. Its fluffless diaper is now in 28 countries in Europe, with a focus of offering the product through two or three key retailers as a premium product in each market, recently adding the low-fluff diaper as an economy alternative.

As a major store brand supplier to Europe, the company exhibited for the first time at the Private Label Manufacturers Association (PLMA) show in Amsterdam last month. The company markets its private label services in countries where such retail programs are strong, while in other regions such as the Middle East and North Africa it markets its own Magics brand.
