Essity to review ownership of Vinda & Consumer Tissue Europe

Sweden-based hygiene and health company Essity has announced that it will begin a strategic review of its ownership of Asian hygiene firm Vinda International Holdings Ltd and the Consumer Tissue Private Label Europe business. Finland’s Ahlstrom launches sustainable filter solutions

Ahlstrom Eco's use of lignin-based impregnation in their filter media could have a significant impact on automotive industry's sustainability efforts. Lignin is a polymer found in plants that is typically considered a waste in papermaking processes. It will replace a non-renewable and environmentally harmful material with a bio-based, renewable one.

Austrian firm Andritz’s revenue soars 28.5% in Q1 FY23

Austrian technology group Andritz has reported a 28.5 per cent increase in revenue to €1,962.6 million for Q1 FY23 compared to Q1 FY22. The company's order intake fell 6.5 per cent YoY to €2,420.2 million, with the exception of its metals business area, which saw growth. Despite the decline in orders, Andritz's order backlog rose to €10,407.8 million.

Finnish firm Valmet posts 17% growth in orders received in Q1 FY23

Finnish company Valmet reported a 17 per cent YoY increase in orders received to €1,552 million in Q1 FY23, with net sales increasing by 38 per cent YoY to €1,321 million. The order backlog at the end of the reporting period amounted to €4,595 million. The company estimates net sales and comparable EBITA to increase in FY23 compared to FY22.

Andritz gets order for 2 hygiene converting lines from Turkiye’s Predo

26th Apr 2023

Andritz has received an order from Predo Health Products to deliver two high-speed hygiene converting lines for producing adult open diapers and feminine sanitary napkins. The lines will be installed in Predo's factory in Gaziantep and start-up is scheduled for the first half of 2024. Predo already operates four baby diaper lines from Andritz.
