NASA has selected Axiom Space to deliver a moonwalking system for the Artemis III mission, which will land Americans on the surface of the Moon for the first time in over 50 years. This award is for a task order to develop a next generation Artemis spacesuit and supporting systems, and to demonstrate their use on the lunar surface during Artemis III.

Don Lewis, president professional hygiene and member of Essity’s executive management team, has decided to leave Essity, a global hygiene and health company, with its headquarters in Sweden. Lewis has joined the company in 2002 and has held various leadership positions in Essity’s professional and consumer businesses North America and Latin America.

Denmark’s nonwovens company Fibertex Personal Care will now supply large quantities of ISCC Plus-certified nonwovens for the production of diapers. The primary demand is for bio-based nonwoven solutions and this new supply supports the goals for CO2 reductions. ISCC Plus verifies that certified companies meet high environmental and social standards.

American healthcare company Medline has invested an additional $500 million in incremental medical supply inventory to ensure product availability and timely delivery to the healthcare providers it serves. The investment, completed at the end of the second quarter of 2022, brings the company's total on-hand inventory to more than $4 billion.

Responsible diapering company Dyper has announced that its plant-based baby diapers and wipes will be available in most Walmart US stores and on its online platform this month. Made with plant-based materials and without harmful chemicals, Dyper’s diapers and wipes can be returned for disposal via the optional landfill avoidance programme Redyper.

Reifenhäuser Reicofil has announced the sale of its RF5 SMMS 3200 nonwovens line to PFNonwovens for the latter’s production facility in South Africa. The hygiene and medical line is scheduled to be commissioned in Q4 2022. PFN wants to set a new benchmark of high-quality and innovative products for the Southern African markets with this purchase.
