Elmarco joined the INDEX 2011 exhibition that was held April 12 to 15 at Palexpo in Geneva, Switzerland. Elmarco's participation was significant for INDEX in that it presented its NS 4S1000U production line and visitors had the opportunity to see a “live” needleless and nozzle-less nanofiber production process.
INDEX is a world recognized exhibition in the field of nonwovens. INDEX 2011 gathered 12,670 visitors from 43 countries and 530 exhibitors.
Many visitors dropped by Elmarco's booth and saw the live performance with much interest that the nanofiber was being created without any nozzles.
„NanospiderTM technology is very unique with its needle-less and nozzle-less electrospinning process. A live demonstration was the best way for us to present our technology and show real availability of nanofibers for the nonwovens industry,” said Peter Popp, R&D director for Elmarco.
The NS 4S1000U production line is the one of the Elmarco's main product lines for the production of organic nanofibers, and achieves excellent results in terms of homogeneity and nanofiber layer quality. The NanospiderTM production lines can deliver non-woven fabrics with unique characteristics because the nanofibers parameters can be adjusted exactly as the customer needs.
The next INDEX is scheduled from April 8 to 11, 2014.
