Fuji to represent Cevotec in Japan and Thailand

Cevotec has given Fuji Industries the license to exclusively represent Cevotec in Japan and Thailand and sell the entire range of Cevotec products. The two have signed an exclusive representation and reseller agreement in this connection. India lifts ban on export of personal protection equipment

India has lifted the ban on the export of personal protection equipment, including masks. With this move, critical items like surgical masks, disposable masks and all kinds of gloves except those made of nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR), which China urgently needs, can be exported by Indian manufacturers to help China fight the coronavirus epidemic.

Fraunhofer Institute's way to assemble CFRP components

Fraunhofer Institute for Laser Technology ILT along with four partners has developed a new method for assembling the carbon fibre reinforced polymer (CFRP) components, which saves time by shortening the production process. The method uses an ultrashort pulsed laser to drill holes for fasteners in the textile preform with micrometre-scale accuracy.

Burlington expands to Canada for insect repellent tech

Burlington, a global diversified provider of textile solutions, has expanded the licensing of its No Fly Zone Insect Repellent Technology into Canada and named Mark’s as the first licensee to sell garments protected by the proprietary No Fly Zone mosquito repellent technology. ETH's morphing aircraft proved its flight capabilities

The morphing aircraft built from 3D printed composites by the CMASLab at the ETH Department of Mechanical and Process Engineering and the ETH Spin-off 9T Labs jointly has proved its flight capabilities in its three-minute maiden flight.
