Bombardier awarded for wing filled with Solvay resin

Solvay has supplied the resin used in the wing manufacturing process by Bombardier, Canadian aircraft manufacturer. Now, the UK's Royal Academy of Engineering has honoured the Belfast operation of Bombardier with the UK's most prestigious prize for engineering innovation for its advanced composite wing that reduces the environmental impact of airplanes.

Safran Cabin, Victrex designing flexible platform

Safran Cabin, a leading supplier of cabin interiors, and Victrex are collaborating to design a flexible platform to cut planning and time-to-market of multiple brackets, with the first being a hybrid overmolded aircraft cabin bracket made of Victrex AE 250 carbon fibre Paek composite and Victrex Peek polymer.
