Shalag to acquire nonwovens manufacturer Texsus

Israel-based Shalag Industries Ltd, a world leader in carded thermobonded and air through bonded (ATB) nonwoven technologies, has signed an agreement to acquire 100 per cent of the shares of Texsus Spa, a leading manufacturer of ATB and laminated products located in Pistoia, Italy. CFT, USQ, Allnex working on pultrusion

Wagners Composite Fibre Technologies (CFT) is working with the University of Southern Queensland (USQ) and Allnex in a $10 million project to improve the productivity of 'pultrusion', the next big thing in manufacturing. DGIST and SKKU team creates artificial skin sensors

Scientists at DGIST Department of Smart Textile Convergence Research and Sungkyunkwan University (SKKU) have jointly developed artificial skin tactile sensors which function like human skin and can detect pressure and vibration at the same time. These can be used to measures textile roughness. Existing sensors can only detect pressure and temperature.
