The fourth annual CAMX – The Composites and Advanced Materials Expo – came to an end with a panel session “It’s a Digital World,” focusing on the increasing use of social media in all areas of business in the composites industry. The panel was created to help CAMX attendees understand the importance of digital engagement in today’s business landscape.

Aliancys has signed a distribution deal with JRD Polymers in India. JRD Polymers, a known name in the Indian market for plastics and resins, will distribute the full resins portfolio of Aliancys, as well as gelcoats and bonding pastes manufactured by Aliancys in China. The deal will help Aliancys develop stronger supply chain ties and business in India.

Coir geo-textile will be used to fortify a 60-km stretch of the Kuttiyadi canal in Kerala under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS). The Bell V-280 has taken off the ground for the first time at Bell Helicopter’s Amarillo, Texas, facility on December 18. Spirit AeroSystems has designed and built the complete fuselage for the V-280, in just 22 months at the company's Rapid Prototype facility in Wichita, Kansas.
