IIT Delhi-DRDO project to develop smart jacket for army

The Indian Institute of Technology-Delhi (IIT-D) and the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) are jointly developing a lighter, smart, intelligent and relatively cheaper jacket for soldiers with integrated interconnects, antennas, sensors and chips. It is being developed at IIT-D’s Joint Advanced Technology Centre (JATC) set up by DRDO.

For fiscal 2018, Hexcel Corporation, a leading advanced composites company, is expecting the sales to be around $2.10 to $2.20 billion with commercial aerospace leading the company’s sales growth. In addition, the company expects 2018 diluted earnings per share to be in the range of $2.80 to $2.94, and free cash flow to be in excess of $230 million.
