UltraTech International, Jacksonville, has won this year’s innovation award of the Industrial Fabrics Foundation in the category of “Chemicals, Coatings and Compounds” with the EverShield C6 water-based fabric treatment. The company has been awarded a prize of $5,000. EverShield was developed under a Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) programme.

Ontex Group is expanding its personal hygiene business around the world through a new production plant in Radomsko, Poland. The investment on the new facility is estimated at € 40 million. Owens Corning has decided to invest $50 million to rebuild a glass melter and expand production capacity by approximately 25 per cent at its Chambéry, France, composites manufacturing facility.
