MSA Safety has announced it has completed its acquisition of Globe Holding Company of Pittsfield, New Hampshire, in an all-cash transaction valued at $215 million, or approximately two times revenue and nine times EBITDA on a trailing 12 month basis. Globe is a leading innovator and manufacturer of firefighter protective clothing and boots.

Andritz has recorded sales of €2,779.0 million in the first half of 2017 and was at the same level as in the previous year's reference period (+0.6 per cent compared to H1 2016: €2,761.2 million). There was a drop in the sales of second quarter of 2017 by 5.6 per cent compared to the previous year to €1,392.8 million (Q2 2016: €1,475.6 million).

Albany International Corporation has reported net sales of $215.6 million in the second quarter of 2017, an increase of 6.1 per cent compared to the same period last year. Net income attributable to the company was $1.1 million ($0.03 per share) in second quarter of 2017, compared to $10.4 million ($0.32 per share) in the same period in 2016.
