Pegas Nonwovens to invest in production plant in SA

Pegas Nonwovens has announced its intention to invest in a production plant in South Africa. The planned investment would amount to approximately €30-35 million in the first phase of the project. The production line is likely to have an annual production capacity of 10,000 tonnes and it is expected to be put into operation at the end of 2018.

Recycled carbon fibres have found use in rail vehicles. In a new project in the UK, a consortium of companies is working on multi-material designs using recycled carbon fibres with an aim to reduce costs and track wear and improve performance. The two-year project is expected to get completed in the end of 2018 with a grant of £1.25 million.
