Fitesa to have new spunmelt line for US plant

Fitesa, a global nonwovens supplier and a 28-year-old partner of A.Celli Nonwovens, announced that it will be installing a new spunmelt line at its manufacturing plant site in Simpsonville, South Carolina, as a part of its capacity expansion plan in Europe, the US and South America, according to a press statement released by A.Celli Nonwovens.

The new spunmelt line will begin commercial operation by the second half of 2017. It will have an annual nameplate capacity of 24,000 MT.

The company currently has 11 manufacturing locations in eight different countries (USA – Simpsonville, Greenbay and Washougal, Italy – Milan, Sweden – Norrkoping, China – Tianjin, Germany – Peine, Mexico – San Jose Iturbide, Brazil – Gravatai and Peru – Lima).

Fitesa will also start a new manufacturing site in Cosmopolis, Brazil in the second quarter of 2016. (MCJ)
