Graniteville Specialty Fabrics, a recognized leader in the production of specialty coatings and coated fabrics, announced that it has purchased a state-of-the-art technical coating line. Graniteville's new high-speed equipment further expands its capabilities by fully encompassing a broad range of width options in woven, knit, and nonwoven textiles as well as films.

Acquired from Zimmer America and Mascoe, the primary suppliers of this equipment, the new technical coating line is capable of 119” widths and utilizes advanced technology to precisely measure and control fabric. By working closely with the vendors, Graniteville can produce the highest quality products with an enlightened approach to environmental impact and energy efficiency.

"This investment clearly reinforces Graniteville's long-term commitment to being a leader and world-class provider of coated fabric and custom coatings to the industrial, military, commercial, and recreational market segments," said Jim Egan, president of Graniteville Specialty Fabrics.

Graniteville's flexibility and broad range of unique capabilities place the manufacturer at the top of the coated fabrics supply chain. This new coatings investment, the previously announced upgrade of Graniteville's workhorse coating line, and other initiatives enable Graniteville to better service customers.
