After Myanmar, the Gujarat State Fertilizers & Chemicals Limited (GSFC) will now export nylon fibre industrial products to African countries, according to an agency report.

The products, called GUJCON concrete reinforced fibre (CRF) and GUJCON nylon reinforced fibre (PRF), have applications in the infrastructure industry for secondary fibre reinforcement of concrete and plaster, respectively, said Sudeep Kumar Nanda, CMD of GSFC.

The products are made up of 100 per cent virgin nylon 6 fibre, which helps in enhancing the abrasion resistance and durability of concrete structures, reduces shrinkage cracks, rebound loss and water permeability. It also raises the aesthetic value of the structure.

The company exported the first consignment of this product to Myanmar about two weeks ago, he Nanda said. (SH)
