The acquisition of RPI, whose technology, R&D, manufacturing, commercial development and customer service capabilities will be integrated into the Personal Care business of Sharon Laboratories, is expected to close in March of 2022. RPI has a global customer base for green functional ingredients, such as texturisers, emulsifiers, surfactants and solubilisers – as well as smart solutions for specific segments such as wet wipes. These ingredients are used in virtually every segment of the personal care industry, including cosmetics, haircare, skincare, sun care and more, Sharon said in a press release.
“Sharon and RPI are a perfect match, strategically and culturally. We are excited to integrate technologies and further develop the company’s product segments,” she said. “The unique technical expertise each company brings will position us as a key partner for personal care and specifically for the wet-wipes industry. The combination of Sharon preservation and RPI and concept formulation expertise will allow us to provide our customers with advanced support for developing sustainable, smart formulations,” Naama Eylon, general manager of Sharon Laboratories, said in a statement.
“RPI is a well-established company with strong roots, which has continued to grow and develop over the years. I’m convinced Sharon Laboratories is the best partner to take RPI into the next stage. This is more than a transaction, I see it as two families coming together,” Agostino Facchini, founder and president of RPI, said.
