KERMEL, the European market leader in the manufacture of meta-aramid fibres for flame and heat resistant protective clothing, is banking on the results of a major research and innovation drive with more than 5% of its turnover dedicated to R&D. KERMEL has launched high tech textile solutions:

Industry: KERMEL offers a wide range of innovative textiles solutions for workers in high-risk environment (petrochemical industries, electrical and gas utilities...). Protective clothing made out from Kermel fibres meets the requirements of ISO 11612 and NFPA 2112 with increased comfort (Kermel Denim, Weldstar, Kermel A90...)

New KERMEL R-GO7 flight coveralls: KERMEL has developed new flight coveralls specifically adapted to the different activities of pilots. Made out from new Kermel fabrics, which are inherently non-flammable, they offer comfort, thermal insulation, mechanical resistance and a high level of comfort. Kermel R-GO7 is the new generation of flight coveralls.

New KERMEL CODE C7 combat suits: with 40 years of combat suit development for troops around the world, KERMEL presents the REAL answer to the REAL requirements of the soldier on the field: KERMEL CODE C7. This thermostable product is a strengthened fabric which has very high durability on the field, while having the specificity to be light and very resistant at the same time.

Recycling process: KERMEL offers an additional service to fire brigades in France. The company has just begun to install containers in fire centers to collect up station wear garments and fire suits at the end of their life cycle. KERMEL will recycle these clothes in order to transform them into recycled fibres and develop new products made out from them. This service is totally free of charge.

Kermel is a registered trademark of the KERMEL Company. KERMEL is the leading European manufacturer of aramid fibers dedicated to protective clothing against heat and flames. Fire suits for fire fighters, together with protective coveralls for public order squads, military and industrial uses are some of the most popular applications.

In parallel with these developments, KERMEL is continuing its diversification in technical applications and, more recently, in the manufacture of underwear for high speed sports with its SKEED brand. KERMEL is certified ISO 9001 v.2008 for Quality, OHSAS 18001 for Safety, and OEKOTEX Standard 100 for Health.
