European Disposables and Nonwovens Association (EDANA), the Association representing the nonwovens and related industries, and organiser of the annual conference for personal care products, announced the keynote and additional speakers for its OUTLOOK conference in Barcelona in September 2012.
After his impressive first appearance at OUTLOOK 2008 in Cascais, Portugal, we will welcome back Mr Vijay Vaitheeswaran from The Economist as a keynote speaker for OUTLOOK 2012. He will address “The New Rules of Innovation” in his presentation. Mr Vaitheeswaran is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations (USA), an advisor on sustainability and innovation to the World Economic Forum, and an adjunct faculty member at NYU's Stern School of Business. Additional speakers include:
• Véronique Kremer, providing Procter and Gamble's perspective on the latest developments in the use of parameters in patent specifications.
• The Sustainability Consortium, speaking on the TSC's approach to assessing the sustainability of products.
• Carlos Richer, from Richer Investment, addressing global trends in diaper design and performance.
• The European Commission's Joint Research Centre, addressing the development of an EU Ecolabel for sanitary products.
Additional information is now also available about the paper to be given by Robert Glaze, Founder, The Brenva Institute (United Kingdom). Speaking on Technology Hype, Adoption and Disruption, he will address technology hype cycles, adoption rates and business model disruption. The paper will focus on emerging technologies relevant to the attendees and their respective companies and the role these new technologies may play in disrupting manufacturing, supply chain and current business models.
OUTLOOK, now in its 11th year, has gone from strength to strength, attracting over 360participants from 33 countries in 2011.
