Nanotechnology maker LITRAX announces that its L2 technology, co-produced with NYLSTAR, has been awarded as a WINNER at ISPO 2013 in Munich to be among “TOP 5 FIBRES INNOVATION” for fall/winter season2014/15.

L2 technology creates enhanced and rapid thermal insulation, heat storage and reemission. It further enhances blood circulation, thus stimulating cellular metabolism with its associated beneficial health effects. The technology used both in filaments, fibers and layers, is designed for hosiery, socks, high performance sportswear, sleepwear, work wear, garments or underwear. Garments made with L2 THERMO from NYLSTAR are also antibacterial in addition to its insulation properties, and create rapid warming in few minutes to additional +14°Celsius. The warming can be even extended to additional +22°C depending on dosage.

NYLSTAR provides POY and DTY filament yarns in Polyamide 6.6 with L2 technology. L2can be blended together with other additives to bring additional features: excellent moisture management, odor reduction, UV protection and antibacterial function (zinc/silver/organic). “We are very satisfied with this great entry positioning and the cooperation with LITRAX”, says Montse Figueras, CEO of NYLSTAR. “Our company andLITRAX are about to launch various innovative additive solutions for the automotive &performance textile markets worldwide.”

MÄRKISCHE FASER provides L2 Polyester staple fibers in 1.7dtex and 2.4dtex options, for ring spun or worsted spun yarns. L2 can be blended together with other LITRAX additives to bring additional features: excellent moisture management, odor reduction, UV protection and antibacterial function (zinc/silver/organic). “We are thrilled with this great entry positioning in the performance markets”, says Mr. Brack, President of MÄRKISCHE FASER. “In the near future MÄRKISCHE FASER & LITRAX will continue to extend the existing portfolio of functional fibers for various textile markets”

ANTEX provides L2 filament yarns in Polyester. L2 can be blended together with other additives to bring additional features: excellent moisture management, odor reduction, UV protection and antibacterial function (zinc/silver/organic). “We are very satisfied with this great entry positioning and the cooperation with LITRAX”, says Marta Molist, R&D Director of ANTEX. “ANTEX and LITRAX are about to launch various innovative additive solutions for the automotive & performance textile markets”
