SHL Healthcare establishes Textile Center of Excellence in Sweden

SHL Healthcare AB has established a Textile Center of Excellence (TCX) in Boras, Sweden, to extend and streamline support for early project phases in close collaboration with customers. US researchers develop fabric that senses wearers’ movements

The fabrication process, which employs digital-knitting technology, enables rapid prototyping, making it possible for the smart fabric to be manufactured on a large scale. Advanced Polyolefins to fund construction of 3 plants in Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia’s Advanced Petrochemical Company has announced that Advanced Polyolefins Industry Company has signed various Islamic facility agreements worth 6.1 billion Saudi riyals ($1.6 billion) with a consortium of financial institutions to finance the construction of three plants – PDH, PP and IPA plants – at the Jubail Industrial City II.

New York researchers develop N95 masks that kill viruses on contact

A new and improved version of N95 face masks has been developed by researchers from the New York-based Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. The masks boast of antiviral and antibacterial properties, and also last longer and cause less plastic waste.
