The investment will strengthen Suominen’s capabilities in Europe and it is made in line with the strategy aiming for growth. Teijin Aramid's Technora high-performance fibre has been used in NASA's Mars Perseverance Rover's landing parachute. The Rover has been successfully launched from Cape Canaveral in Florida. The landing parachute, developed by Airborne Systems and NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, will be deployed during the Rover's descent to Mars in February 2021.
