Edana launches safety programme for hygiene products

Edana, the European Nonwovens Industry Association, has announced that it has launched the stewardship programme for absorbent hygiene products. European manufacturers of diapers, adult incontinence, and other kinds of feminine hygiene products are committing to the new programme to give consumers further assurances about the safety of their products.

Garware Technical Fibres net profit rise 12% in FY20

Garware Technical Fibres Limited, a manufacturer of technical textiles for the Indian and global markets, posted 6 per cent revenue decline to ₹953 crore in fiscal 2020 ended on March 31, 2020 compared to revenue of ₹1,018 crore in previous fiscal year. However, net profit for the year jumped 12 per cent to ₹141 crore (FY19: ₹126 crore).

Nouryon doubles organic peroxides capacity in Brazil

Nouryon has more than doubled its capacity to produce organic peroxides at its plant in Itupeva, Brazil. This imparts capacity for chemicals such as methyl ethyl ketone peroxides (MEKP) and dibenzyl peroxide (BPO) pastes and waxes, essential for producing composites needed by the fast-growing markets such as wind turbines and civil construction.

HRC setting up centre for composite parts in Changshu
