Everett-based OceanGate has selected Toray Composite Materials America as a provider for the carbon fibre material that will be used in the company’s next-generation submersibles. INDA, the Association of the Nonwoven Fabrics Industry, is remembering Klaus Maitre, a veteran of the nonwovens and textile industry for five decades. Maitre passed away surrounded by his family in Gastonia, North Carolina on March 25, 2020, at the age of 81. Mitsui Chemicals has increased production facilities for meltblown nonwovens at its wholly owned subsidiary Sunrex Industry. The operations at the new facilities began in January. The expansion comes in response to growing demand for industrial-use meltblown nonwovens, and will increase the group’s production capacity for these materials by 50 per cent.
