Saertex makes wind turbine prototype with longest spar cap

Saertex, the manufacturer of multiaxial fabrics and core materials for the production of fibre-reinforced composites, has produced a prototype of a wind turbine blade with probably the longest carbon fibre spar cap made in vacuum infusion technology so far. Other than Saertex, the prototype production was supported by Windnovation, Composyst and CTP AM.

Ineos to build three new plants in Saudi Arabia

Ineos has signed a memorandum of understanding with Saudi Aramco and Total, France, to build three new plants in Saudi Arabia. As part of a $5 billion petrochemical complex (Jubail 2), the three plants will produce key building blocks for carbon fibre, engineering polymers and synthetic lubricants that are pivotal to economic growth in the region.

Garware Technical Fibres revenue crosses ₹1000 cr in FY19

Garware Technical Fibres Ltd, a leading manufacturer of technical textiles for the Indian and global markets, has reported revenue growth of 23.3 per cent to ₹289.5 cr in Q4FY19 for the financial year ending March 31, 2019, as compared to ₹234.8 cr in Q4FY18. For FY19, revenue grew by 14.9 per cent to ₹1017.8 cr in FY19 as against ₹885.5 cr in FY18.
