Toray develops carbon fibre with high tensile strength

Toray Industries, Inc has developed new carbon fibres that realise both higher tensile strength and tensile modulus named Torayca MX series and would expand its lineup going forward. The company will also introduce prepreg (high-performance resin-impregnated fabric) using the MX series carbon fibre to contribute to variety of applications.

Ashland to sell composites biz to Ineos for $1.1 bn

Ashland Global Holdings Inc has signed an agreement to sell its composites business and the butanediol (BDO) manufacturing facility in Marl, Germany, to Ineos Enterprises in a transaction valued at approximately $1.1 billion. The transaction is expected to close prior to end of June 2019 quarter, based on certain customary regulatory approvals.

66 countries represented at IFAI Expo 2018
