Engineers working to make UK leader in composites

A team of leading engineers has been constituted to make the UK a global competitor in composites and aerospace markets. The team is working at the University of Sheffield Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC) to drive forward cutting edge capabilities for manufacturing composite components in ways not currently available in the supply chain.

A Schulman's merger with LyondellBasell approved

Merger of A Schulman with LyondellBasell Industries has been approved by stockholders of A Schulman, supplier of high-performance plastic compounds, composites and resins. LyondellBasell will acquire the outstanding shares of A Schulman common stock. The advisory proposal regarding executive compensation related to the merger has also been approved.

Norafin inaugurates first American production site

Norafin Industries has recently inaugurated its first American production site in Mills River, North Carolina. The site with a new state-of-the-art spunlace line and modern lab and offices is expected to create 45 new positions by the end of 2018. Norafin has invested around €20 million in the new production facility in the last 12 months.
