Trützschler Nonwovens teamed up with Schott & Meissner to deliver a state-of-the-art, high-capacity line including the T-BLEND fibre preparation system, two TWF-NC roller cards, and Schott & Meissner’s high-speed ‘Speedliner’ belt oven.

The UK government has decided to retain existing measures on imports of continuous glass fibre from China, as recommended by the TRA. This means the UK’s glass fibre industry, predominantly based in Wigan, will continue to be protected from injury caused by dumped and subsidised imports of glass fibre from China for five years, from January 31, 2021.

Researchers in the US have made novel carbon nanotube yarns that convert mechanical movement into electricity more effectively than other material-based energy harvesters.
