The Center of Excellence in Nonwovens at Germany’s STFI has implemented a measurement and control concept by electronics manufacturer PLEVA at its spunlace laboratory facility to make the nonwoven production process highly energy efficient. This includes sensors for residual moisture, fabric temperature, exhaust humidity, and a process control system.

Finland’s manufacturer of fibre-based products Ahlstrom has posted 29-per cent growth in net sales to €867.1 million in the third quarter of fiscal 2022, ended September 30, 2022.
