Net sales reduced by 4.5 per cent to $9.2 billion in 2015 at the Personal Care segment of Kimberly Clark as compared to $9.6 billion in 2014. Consumer Tissue segment reported a fall of 7.9 per cent in its net sales in 2015 to $6.1 billion as compared to $6.6 billion previous year. The Professional segment reported a fall of 5 per cent to $3.2 billion as compared to $3.3 billion in 2014.
The operating profit at Kimberly Clark fell by 36 per cent in 2015 to $1.6 billion as compared to $2.5 billion in the previous year. Gross profit fell by 0.9 per cent in 2015 to $6.62 billion as compared to $6.68 billion in 2014.
Net income fell by 33.2 per cent in 2015 to $1.06 billion as compared to $1.5 billion in 2014.
Commenting on the results, Thomas J Falk, chairman and CEO of Kimberly Clark said, “For the full year of 2015, we achieved 5 percent organic sales growth, highlighted by 10 percent growth in developing and emerging markets and a 5 percent volume increase in our North American consumer products business. I'm pleased with our execution in a challenging environment.”
