NatureWorks & NWI to produce 10 million surgical masks

NatureWorks and the Nonwovens Institute (NWI) of North Carolina State University (NC State) have developed a new spunbond nonwoven technology enabling the production of at least ten million additional N95 surgical masks. NatureWorks manufactures Ingeo brand polylactic acid (PLA) and lactides, greenhouse gas-based materials for plastics and fibres.
