Hanwha Total Petrochemical, a joint venture between Total and Hanwha, has invested nearly $500 million in setting up a new polypropylene plant and thereby further expand its Daesan integrated refining and petrochemical complex in South Korea. University of Manchester researchers have added graphene to jute to create graphene-strengthened natural jute fibre composites. Composites Evolution has developed a new tooling prepreg system (Evopreg EPT), based on a hybrid combination of carbon and flax reinforcements in partnership with moulders KS Composites.
